My professional world.
I’m a subsea engineer working at the intersection of offshore installation and integrity engineering — the discipline of making sure riser, jumper, and umbilical systems survive the ocean they’re deployed into.
For the past several years I’ve worked on dynamic analysis, fatigue assessment, integrity management, and failure investigation for subsea systems, using tools like OrcaFlex and Python to model how these structures behave under real environmental loading. I currently work in Project Engineering — Riser & Jumpers at TechnipFMC, and before that spent time as a Senior Subsea Engineer at Oceaneering International, where I built Python-based automation tools that saved over 1,900 engineering hours a year and trained other engineers in fatigue analysis and automation methods.
I’ve supported projects for operators including BP, Shell, TotalEnergies, Eneva, LLOG, OXY, and Hess — work like fatigue reassessment for the Pazflor flexible line repair in Angola, extreme-load and I-Tube validation for Shell’s Whale development in the Gulf of Mexico, and installation feasibility work during an in-progress length shortage on Shell’s Crux project.
I hold a Master of Technology in Ocean Engineering from IIT Madras and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College. Along the way I’ve been recognized with a CEO Spotlight Award and a Productivity Excellence Award for automation work that changed how my team approached engineering analysis.
This is the technical, disciplined side of how I see the world — where I learned that a design either holds or it doesn’t, and that habit of mind carries into everything else on this site.
